Lighthouse API
The free tool on the front page is the whole service as a REST API: start an audit in one call, then poll it or receive a webhook. Audits run on dedicated hardware with pinned versions (Lighthouse 12.8.2, Chromium 148.0.7778.178), from any region you pick.
Free during launch. No card, no credits — you just need a key.
Get a key
Enter your email and we'll send one. Use it as a bearer token:
Authorization: Bearer ls_live_…. Keys come in two modes —
ls_live_ runs and (later) bills, ls_test_ takes the
same path and never charges.
Create an account, then mint and revoke keys from your dashboard. Keys are
ls_live_… for real runs and ls_test_… for the full
path without spending credits.
Entry points
The calls worth knowing by name. Every field, every error shape and a try-it console are in the full reference.
| Call | What it does | Key |
|---|---|---|
POST /api/v1/audits |
Create an audit | yes |
GET /api/v1/audits/{id} |
Retrieve an audit | yes |
GET /api/v1/account |
The calling account | yes |
Starting an audit
One call in, then poll the run or let a webhook tell you. This is the whole shape of it:
curl -X POST "https://lightscore.dev/api/v1/audits" \
-H "Authorization: Bearer ls_live_…" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"url":"https://example.com"}'
The response is the audit, with one result per region as they land. Audits are asynchronous — a Lighthouse run takes tens of seconds, so nothing useful could be returned synchronously.
The full reference
- Interactive reference — every endpoint, field and error, with a try-it console.
- openapi.json · openapi.yaml — the hand-authored contract everything else is generated from, if you'd rather point a client generator at it.
- llms.txt — the same service described for agents.
